Theatre Group
Several of the members would like to re-start the play readings we had of Shakespeare in the past. As we have been reading Hilary Mantel’s WOLF HALL in the Book Circle we thought it might be interesting to compare Shakespeare’s version of the roles played by Wolsley & Cromwell, and so we plan to start with Shakespeare’s Henry V111. Ishrat hopes to be with us before leaving for the winter so we hope to
have an illuminating discussion. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday September 21 at
15.00. If you wish to come, please phone her before September 17 if possible.
Welcome!

Afternoon Tea with an Artist – we will watch an artist at work and join her or him
for afternoon tea. We start with Astrid Stenlund Abbt, the permanent resident artist
at Senapskornet Konstgalleri (or Mustard Seed Art Gallery) in Edsberg, Sollentuna,
on the same grounds as Edsberg Castle. Astrid has been painting for over 60 years; she started at a very very young age. She does portraits, still life, paints furniture and glass, and weaves carpets by hand! Her style is reminiscent of that of Carl Larsson and Jenny Nyström. Cost: 100 SEK for the tea/short lecture. Minimum 6 ladies.
Contact Rachel Hansen for date and more information.
