Women of the world - who are they?

This month we have the great pleasure to welcome Stina Lundberg Dabrowski as a speaker to the members of the International Women’s Club. She will introduce us to some of the famous women she has met over the years. So make sure that you join us for this exclusive session by signing up for the September luncheon.

To a Swedish and Scandinavian audience, Stina needs no introduction. She is one of the most popular, highly regarded and respected journalist and program host on Swedish national television, serving many different channels over the years. Stina’s personal and relaxed style of interviewing for over 25 years has given the public many intriguing, surprising and fearless interview portraits of famous and influential international celebrities like Madeleine Albright, Moammar Gadhafi , Hillary Clinton, Dalai Lama, Ingemar Bergman, Margaret Thatcher, Nelson Mandela, Madonna, Yassir Arafat, Benazir Bhutto, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolly Parton and Leonard Cohen, among others. Her hallmark, which always amused the Scandinavian public immensely, was the final, small “jump” Stina performed together with the interviewed.

They all made the jump for Stina, and the audience, except for Madonna, Margaret Thatcher and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
For her outstanding achievements Stina has been given some of the most prestigious awards and honours over the years such as Stora Journalistpriset. Stina was also named the “Best TV Personality of all Time” by the Swedish people in a national vote. In 2009, Stina was “abducted” by the classic Swedish TV-show “Här har du ditt liv” where the audience got to meet important people in her life. Stina is married to producer Kjell Dabrowski and has four children.

In 2008, Stina was appointed Professor in television production at the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre in Stockholm. As a professor, Stina is regularly lecturing to journalism students, groups and companies about her work and journalistic methods. Stina is currently engaged in interviewing prominent personalities from the “Actors’ Studio” at Filmhuset in Stockholm, a collaboration between Dramatiska Institutet and Filminstitutet. At our lunch, at Operaterrassen, Stina will talk about some of the most interesting women she has met like Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and Margaret Thatcher. Who offered her a gin and tonic at 9.30 in the morning? Who calls herself a blithering idiot? You are invited to share Stina’s personal experiences from meetings with these women and others. During the session it will also be possible to buy a copy of the book “Stinas möten”. For those interested in obtaining some of the best and exclusive interviews on a CD please contact stina@stinaprod.se .
