EXHIBITIONS and FAIRS OF INTEREST: An exhibition at the Nordiska museet "Wallpaper, Wallpaper" until 5 August 2007. The importance of wallpaper to a room should not be underestimated…A pattern that was daring and exciting yesterday may feel hopelessly dated tomorrow. Nordiska Museet follows the history of wallpaper, from handmade examples dating from the 16th century to today's mass-produced varieties. For more information: www.nordiskamuseet.se Also quite special to Stockholm, the Stockholm Furniture Fair and the Northern Light Fair are among the year's most popular events. The public's interest in design and home furnishing shows no signs of abating. Every self-respecting newspaper makes sure to deal with the subject at least once a week and the two fairs attracted more than 40,000 visitors last year. The Stockholm Furniture Fair is certainly the biggest in Northern Europe. From 7 to 11 February 2007. For more information: www.stockholmsmassan.se
